Visalia is becoming the major center for distribution, warehousing, and light manufacturing in California, strategically placed in the heart of California with direct access to Highway 99 (the state’s major trucking corridor). Unlike any other site in the state, a company in Visalia can efficiently reach 99% of California – plus portions of Arizona, Oregon, and Nevada – overnight, reaching a population of more than 35,000,000 within just a 300-mile radius.

  • The Visalia Industrial Park, located at the northeast corner of the Highway 99 and Highway 198 intersection, provides direct access to major east/west and north/south highways. Access to the highways is along industrial grade roadways that do not require travel through urban or residential areas. The city has improved access by widening and realigning Riggin Avenue from Highway 99 to Plaza Drive. This provides another 4-lane divided access road into the north end of the industrial park.
  • Visalia is home to a variety of trucking and shipping companies that can provide both local and long haul services. UPS, DATS Trucking, California Overnight, and Golden State Overnight have located their California hubs in the Visalia Industrial Park. FedEx and DHL provide pick-up and delivery services at the Visalia Airport.
  • San Joaquin Valley Railroad provides rail service to many cities and connects with both the Union Pacific Railroad, and Burlington Northern Santa Fe railroad for interstate shipments. Many industrial park sites have direct rail service.
  • Visalia is served by three airports and nine airlines within 75 miles of downtown. The Visalia Municipal Airport is home base to a wide variety of aircraft and services. Located at the southeast corner of the Highway 99 and Highway 198 intersection, the airport is used by many industrial park tenants for both passenger and freight service.
  • Visalia Municipal Airport is the only Certified FAA airport between Fresno and Bakersfield. It currently has a 6,590’ x 150’ asphalt runway with a precision approach ILS. The airport is currently in the process of extending the runway. There are industrial development sites available at the Visalia Municipal Airport for aviation-based businesses.
