about the VEDC
The Visalia Economic Development Corporation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization formed in 1996 to nurture and develop the Visalia economy to help businesses thrive and create jobs.

VEDC’s primary purpose is to make Visalia’s business climate conducive to good growth. To achieve this, VEDC works with private businesses, the Chamber of Commerce, the City of Visalia, and the Tulare County EDC to present our city and its opportunities in a positive light and to keep open the doors of communication between public entities and private enterprise.

VEDC acts as a catalyst in creating a positive business climate, facilitating a stronger link between the business community and local education-training programs, and ensuring adequate infrastructure investment. The VEDC is committed to offering support of projects that address unemployment, Visalia’s General Plan, education and positive growth.
